AVA seizes unsold stocks of kombucha tea

700 bottles of KOMBUCHA tea havebeen found in shops all over Singapore and have been seized by AVA.
A coffee owner by the name of mr Sam Chew brewed his own concoction of bacteria and yeastat home and without the approval from the health authorities, sold his "deadly potion" to nearby coffee shops.
After a raid by AVA on a few food outlets, they found bottles of mr chews concoction, each bottle filled with a fizzy brown liquid and after some time the fizzy liquid would eventually form a pinkish pancake shaped mass.
This beverage when taken had many unfriendly side effects, such as food poisoning.
I feel appaled and disgusted to hear that someone would do such a thing, no doubt he was doing it to gain a few bucks, but he could have at least tested it out and made sure that it would not harm anyone. who in the right mind would like to sit down have a nice bottle of tea then realise that they suddenly have probloems and unfriendly side effects because of the tea that they drank ? i think people should be more responsible and think for others. so please people BE RESPONSIBLE.
